TO ENGAGE, INVOLVE, TRAIN AND EQUIP CHRIST-CENTRED LEADERS

ENGAGED:
Jesus didn’t just communicate a message, He connected with people. He was very intentional in the way He invested His time, His energy and His resources. Everything that He did was in response to his Father’s plan for His best life - His destiny. That strategy has not changed, Jesus still lives to connect us to His Father and to one another and engage us with our destiny.
 
INVOLVED:
Jesus involved those who responded to His call in everything He did. If He healed the sick, He told His followers they could do it, too. If He walked on water, He invited them to share the experience. When we become Christ-followers, He invites us to join him in His Father’s work, be like Him and do what He does. 

At Destiny we want to create opportunities for people to serve and be involved with the work God is doing in our community.

TRAINED:
 Jesus had a very intentional training program with His disciples. He provided on-the-job training by mentoring and coaching them as they lived their lives together. Just as He did with the disciples, Jesus leads us and trains us by sharing His life with us, walking daily together and . 

Through Connect Groups, community engagement and leadership development, we want to provide opportunity for people to grow in character and competence. We also want to help people connect with those who are committed to improving our community and honouring Christ in every area of life.

EQUIPPED:
 Graduation from Jesus’ discipleship process was ‘GO into all the world’. He took off all limitations from those who had engaged with Him, been involved in the things He was doing and responded to His training. Not only that, He resourced them to do whatever He directed them to do, spiritually and materially. The empowerment of His Kingdom come is still the same today. Christ still wants to do bring the benefits and the blessing of His generous Spirit to every area of our society.

Ultimately, our dream is to see people released into the call of God to impact the culture and the community God has called them to influence.  We want to support people to take full advantage of the opportunities wherever God has called them to lead the way in.
